Listra Dine: Expanding a Simple Idea

Following the success of the original Listra coffee table, Stuart Melrose developed Listra Dine: a larger dining table that retains the quiet elegance and architectural simplicity of the original while adapting it for everyday living.

The concept remains beautifully uncomplicated. Two contrasting colours or textures of HI-MACS® are seamlessly bonded together, allowing a single bold stripe to become the defining feature of the design. Enlarged to dining proportions, this composition becomes an even more striking centrepiece for contemporary interiors.

Simplicity That Invites Conversation

Taking its name from the Portuguese word listra, meaning stripe, the design celebrates the beauty found in proportion, balance and restraint.

The uninterrupted line running through the centre of the table subtly divides its generous surface while visually bringing it together as one sculptural form. Free from unnecessary decoration, every detail has been refined to allow the materials, craftsmanship and proportions to speak for themselves.

Comfortably seating six people, with room for up to eight using the table ends, Listra Dine is designed to become the heart of the home: a place where everyday moments and special occasions naturally come together.

Crafted Around the Individual

Each Listra Dine table is individually handcrafted to order in England using seamlessly bonded HI-MACS®. Clients can choose from an extensive palette of colours and finishes to create a piece that complements both its architectural setting and their personal style.

Bespoke dimensions and alternative proportions are frequently commissioned, making Listra Dine equally suited to private residences, contemporary apartments and commercial interiors. Contemporary Craftsmanship Every Listra Dine table is precision manufactured before being meticulously hand-finished to a refined semi-gloss sheen. Each edition is individually numbered and carries the Stuart Melrose studio mark.

Alternative colour combinations, bespoke sizes and customised proportions are welcomed, reflecting the studio’s belief that exceptional furniture should be tailored to both the space and the people who use it.
